This book presents the dynamic modeling and attitude control of flexible spacecraft with time-varying parameters. The dynamic characteristics, vibration control methods and attitude stabilization methods for spacecraft are systematically studied in respects of the theoretical modeling, numerical simulation and the ground experiment.

Three active control theories in complex mode space are presented for flexible space structures. Optimal slew strategies based on variable amplitudes input shaping methods and coupling control methods are proposed for stabilization of flexible spacecraft. The research provides an important way to solve the problem of high-precision attitude control of flexible spacecraft with time-varying parameters. This book is appropriate for the researchers who focus on the multi-body dynamics, attitude and vibration control of flexible spacecraft.

Jie Wang is an assistant professor of National University of Defense Technology. He received a bachelor's degree in Tsinghua University in 2010 and received the Master's and Ph.D. degrees of Aeronautical and Astronautical Science and Technology in National University of Defense Technology in 2012 and 2017, respectively. His research focuses on dynamics and control of flexible spacecraft, vibration control of large flexible structures, thermal-induced deformation and vibration, and thermal control of satellite.

Professor Dong-Xu Li is an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences. She has received her bachelor's degree and doctoral degree both in solid mechanics from National University of Defense Technology (NUDT). She is currently a professor and a doctoral supervisor of aerospace science and technology in the College of Aerospace Science and Engineering, NUDT, P. R. China. She has been engaged in the fields of structural dynamics, vibration control, smart materials and smart structures, etc., for more than thirty years. She has published more than 200 refereed papers and 7 scientific writings and has been authorized 62 invention patents.
