Java Program Design is about the fundamentals of programming and software development using Java. It is targeted for a first programming course and has been designed to be appropriate for people from all disciplines. Jim Cohoon is a professor of computer science at the University of Virginia and former member of the technical staff of Bell Laboratories AT&T. Among his research interested include algorithms, computer-aided design, the optimization strategies, and teaching in computer science. He is the author of more than 75 articles and books in these fields.
