Tropico 2: Pirate Cove is the sequel to the Caribbean simulation game, Tropico. Set on a hidden pirate island, gamers play as an all-powerful Pirate King who must manage a 17th century group of buccaneers. The game builds on the humorously addictive gameplay of the original while adding several innovations and changes. First, the traditional economy is reversed. Instead of making money by selling goods they have made themselves, players get rich by pirating goods that other people have made. Captives from plundered ships do the labor on the island, so the pirates can enjoy the delights of drinking, wenching, gambling, and feasting. In addition, the pirate characters have individual personalities so that gamers become truly interested in the characters' well being. The island is also zoned so that richer pirates may seclude themselves in their own mansions. The game stars Blackbeard and other pirates based loosely on historical figures. Not Final Cover.
