The definitive security reference for Microsoft operating systems, servers, clients, networks, and Internet services -- straight from the Microsoft product group. This official Microsoft Resource Kit delivers IT professionals with comprehensive operations and deployment information plus essential tools that information security professionals can put to work right away. The authors -- members of Microsoft's security teams -- describe how to plan and implement a comprehensive security strategy, assess security threats and vulnerabilities, configure system security, safeguard data, monitor and detect security events, respond to internal and external attacks, and effectively apply security technologies and best practices. The Resource Kit also provides must-have security tools, checklists, templates, and other on-the-job resources on CD-ROM and the Web.
