This book presents the proceedings of the International Conference on Computational Intelligence 2018 (ICCI 2018). It brings together work by leading scientists, researchers and research scholars from around the globe on all aspects of computational intelligence. The work is mainly composed of the original and unpublished results of conceptual, constructive, empirical, experimental, or theoretical work in all areas of computational intelligence. Specifically, the major topics covered include classical computational intelligence models and artificial intelligence, neural networks and deep learning, evolutionary swarm and particle algorithms, hybrid systems optimization, constraint programming, human–machine interaction, computational intelligence for web analytics, robotics, computational neurosciences, neurodynamics, bioinspired and biomorphic algorithms, cross-disciplinary topics and applications.

Sudip Kumar Sahana received his BE degree in Computer Technology from Nagpur University, India in 2001, and his MTech (Computer Science) and PhD (Engineering) from the BIT, Mesra, India in 2006 and 2013, respectively. His major field of study is in Computer Science. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, BIT. His research and teaching interests include soft computing, computational intelligence, distributed computing and artificial intelligence. He has authored several research papers in the field of Computer Science and served as an editorial team member and reviewer for a number of journals. He is a lifetime member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), India.  Vandana Bhattacherjee is currently a Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Birla Institute of Technology, (BIT) in Mesra, India. She completed her BE (CSE) at the BIT in 1989,and her MTech and PhD in Computer Science at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi in 1991 and 1995, respectively. She has published in several national and international journals and conference proceedings, and is a member of IEEE Computer Society and Life Member of the Computer Society of India. Her research areas include software process models, software cost estimation, software metrics, data mining and soft computing.
