Time Series Analysis in Seismology offers a concise presentation of the most recent advances in the analysis of geophysical data, particularly with regard to seismology, making it a valuable tool for researchers and students working in seismology and geophysics.
Alejandro Ramírez-Rojas is a professor of the Area of Physics of Irreversible Processes at the Department of Basic Sciences, Autonomous Metropolitan University – Azcapotzalco (UAM-A), Mexico City, Mexico, and has a PhD in physics. His research focuses on time series analysis in geophysics with particular focus in seismology. He is involved with applications of spectral analysis, fractal and multifractal analysis, non-extensive statistics, visibility graphs, natural time domain, Allan factor, visual recurrence analysis, and complexity measures to real and synthetic seismicity. Leonardo Di G Sigalotti is a professor of the Area of Physics of Irreversible Processes at the Department of Basic Sciences, Autonomous Metropolitan University – Azcapotzalco (UAM-A), Mexico City, Mexico and has a PhD in Astrophysics. He studies computational fluid dynamics, multiphase and multicomponent compositional flows, nonlinear elasticity and granular media. His research also includes mathematical development and consistency analysis of particle methods, thermo-fluidics, and star formation processes. Otto Rendon is a professor at the Department of Physics, Universidad de Carabobo, Valencia, Venezuela, and has a PhD in Physics. His research interests include statistical physics, time series analysis, distributions and generalized functions with applications to physics, mathematical development, and consistency analysis of particle methods. Elsa Leticia Flores Márquez is a researcher at the Institute of Geophysics, National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), Mexico City, Mexico. She obtained a PhD in Earth Sciences from the Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine (INPL) in France. She has developed interdisciplinary studies of the Earth system, including approaches of tectonics, seismicity, geophysical exploration, hydrogeology, geothermics, impact craters and computational modeling of terrestrial systems in particular of aquifers, black oil and geothermal zones. She has been associate editor of Hydrology Journal and reviewer for several international and national journals: Hydrology Journal, Geophysical International, Geophysical Prospecting, Near Surface Geophysics, Geophysica Acta and Communications in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation.
