The Test and Launch Control Technology for Launch Vehicles (eBook)
XIII, 246 Seiten
Springer Singapore (Verlag)
978-981-10-8712-7 (ISBN)
This book presents technologies and solutions related to the test and launch control of rockets and other vehicles, and offers the first comprehensive and systematic introduction to the contributions of the Chinese Long March (Chang Zheng in Chinese, or abbreviated as CZ) rockets in this field. Moreover, it discusses the role of this technology in responsive, reliable, and economical access to space, which is essential for the competitiveness of rockets. The need for rapid development of the aerospace industry for both governmental and commercial projects is addressed.
This book is a valuable reference resource for practitioners, and many examples and resources are included, not only from Chinese rockets but also from many other vehicles. It covers guidelines, technologies, and solutions on testing and launch control before rocket takeoff, covering equipment-level testing, system-level testing, simulation tests, etc.
Prof. Zhengyu Song was born in 1970 in Jingjiang, Jiangsu province, China. He received his B.E. degree from Zhejiang University in 1992 and M.E. from China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALT) in 1995. Prof. Song is a leading aerospace control expert in China, and has been involved in the development of many significant launch vehicles in the last 20 years. He is the Chief Expert of CALT and honored as the National Leader for Scientific and Technological Innovation. As the general designer of the CZ-2F GNC system (CZ is the abbreviation of Chang Zheng, meaning Long March), he designed the highly reliable control system and advanced closed-loop guidance algorithm to ensure extreme precision for manned rendezvous and docking tasks. As one of the founders of next generation Chinese launch vehicles, such as CZ-7 and CZ-5, and the technical director of GNC system, he led the key technologies research in avionics and control systems, the achievements of which are now widely applied in CZ-7. He is currently leading the development of avionics and GNC system of the Chinese heavy-lift launch vehicle.
Prof. Zheng is the author of 2 books and 46 publications and he also has 25 patents. He received the 'Ten Outstanding Youth in China Award' in 2008 and was elected as Member of International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) in 2016.
