Rafal Urbaniak completed his PhD in Logic and Philosophy of Mathematics at the University of Calgary (working with Prof. R. Zach) in 2008, focusing on the development of Lesniewski's foundations of mathematics. Currently, he is a postdoctoral fellow of the Research Foundation Flanders at the Centre for Logic and Philosophy of Science at Ghent University in Belgium and an Associate Professor at the Department of Philosophy, Sociology and Journalism at the University of Gdansk in Poland. Rafal Urbaniak is mostly interested in applications of formal methods to philosophical problems, such as those related to theories of rationality, belief revision, philosophy of mathematics, philosophy of mind, theories of conditionals or philosophy of thought experiments.
