Dr David McIlhatton leads on specialist security and resilience related research and development at Ulster University with core expertise in protective security. Dr David BaMaung served as a police officer within Strathclyde Police for 30 years. After retiring from Strathclyde Police, Dr BaMaung joined the newly amalgamated Police Scotland as a Counter Terrorism Security Advisor within the then Special Branch. Margaret Lada currently serves as a Senior Analyst with Chenega International in Dubai, U.A.E where she focuses on the role of information and communication technologies in countering emerging threats. As part of this work Miss Lada has lead studies examining the tactics used by groups such as ISIS, Al Qaeda and Boko Haram. Dr Rachel Monaghan is a senior lecturer in Criminology at Ulster University. Her PhD was from the University of Reading, England and examined the phenomenon of single-issue terrorism. She has been researching terrorism and political violence in the United Kingdom for nearly twenty years.
