Michael Toot is a Seattle--based consultant and author, writing about both desktop Web applications and middleware technology. Prior to consulting he was a senior program manager and senior product manager at Attachmate Corporation and Digital Equipment Corporation, developing enterprise middleware solutions for Fortune 2000 customers. Before working full--time in the computer industry he was a litigation defense attorney. When not writing books he can be found reading, renovating a 94--year--old home with his wife and two cats, or sailing on Puget Sound. Sherry Willard Kinkoph has written more than 40 books covering a variety of computer topics ranging from hardware to software, from Microsoft Office programs to Internet topics far and wide. Her recent titles include Teach Yourself VISUALLY Flash 5, Teach Yourself VISUALLY Premiere 6, Master VISUALLY Dreamweaver 4 and Flash 5, and Master VISUALLY FrontPage 2002. Sherry's never--ending quest is to help users of all levels master the ever--changing computer technologies.
