An interactive approach of integrating a CD with project files and instructor demonstration provides a hands-on method for learning Photoshop. It covers the needs of the quickly growing segment of users who use Photoshop for Web design and digital photographs. Accompanying tutorials on the CD illustrate exactly how to perform certain tasks, such as using special effects, making composite images, and cropping and correcting exposures.

Ken Milburn (Oakland, CA) has been consulting on and writing about personal computer-based graphics, design, and multimedia since 1981. He is currently working as a contributing editor to the Microsoft MSN-PictureIt! site where two of his "how-to" articles appear each month. He has written several books on Photoshop and graphics. Ken's background as a digital artist is founded in an earlier career of fifteen years as a nationally published advertising and editorial photographer.
