Erik Bartmann trained as an electrician and aircraft electronics technician in the armed forces. Afterwards, he went to the Technical School of Electrical Engineering in Cologne with a focus on data processing. His early interest in computers started with the Commodore CBM 3032, C64und Apple II, and those experiences set the course for his future.
