A quick reference to creating Web pages. It covers the basics of designing pages that are appealing to the eye, basic HTML tags, adding graphics and sound to a page, inserting interactive forms and links, and posting pages to a server to be shared with the world.
What's the shortest distance between two points? A copy of one of our popular, no-frills Quick Reference guides, of course! Here's everything you need to know to create your own Web pages from scratch. Creating Web Pages For Dummies Quick Reference, 2nd Edition, gives you fast, friendly, and easy-to-understand information on mastering the basics of page design; working with graphics, sounds, and video; performing basic to advanced scripting with JavaScript and VBScript; creating Web pages with Microsoft FrontPage 2000, Netscape Composer 4.5, or Microsoft FrontPage Express; and, finally, publishing your Web sites to the server of your own choice. Creating Web Pages For Dummies Quick Reference, 2nd Edition, delivers the goods on Web publishing in short, sweet, and straight-to-the-point steps. Designed with real-world usage in mind, this slender one-volume reference guide is bound so that it lays flat on your desk or workspace for quick reference, just like its user-friendly title says!

About the Author Doug Lowe lives in sunny Fresno, California (where the motto is "At least it's a dry heat") with his wife Debbie, daughters Rebecca, Sarah, and Bethany, and female Golden Retrievers Nutmeg and Ginger. He works full-time creating outstanding literary works such as Creating Web Pages For Dummies Quick Reference, 2nd Edition, and wonders why he hasn't yet won a Pulitzer Prize or had one of his books made into a movie starring Harrison Ford so that he can retire. Doug really thinks that Harrison Ford would be excellent as the Dummies Man and thinks that John Kilcullen's people should call Harrison's people real soon before someone else steals the idea. In between writing computer books, which leaves about three free hours per month, Doug enjoys golfing and makes it a point to play at least once a decade. Hiking is also a favorite hobby, so much so that Doug really would like to write Backpacking For Dummies but hasn't had the time to write a proposal yet because these computer books just keep coming up. Maybe someday.
