A travel diary of the author who journeyed the length and breadth of Africa with her husband, Neil, in a custom-built troop carrier. It tells how from South Africa to Namibia, Tanzania to Mozambique, a colourful parade of characters passes through their lives as they move from country to country, campsite to campsite.
No Stopping for Lions is an unforgettable adventure that is sure to inspire us all to step outside our comfort zone. When Joanne Glynn and her husband Neil travelled around Africa for a year, the warmth of the people, beauty of the landscape and awe-inspiring diversity of the wildlife soon worked their way into the travellers' hearts and souls. From encounters with waterlogged warthogs to conversations with street kids orphaned by the AIDS epidemic and Maasai warriors grappling with the clash between tradition and progress, Jo has captured the humour and the pathos, the tragedy and the wonder that is Africa.

Joanne Glynn grew up in the country town of Mittagong, in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales. She moved to Sydney to study, where she met her future husband, Neil, in a pub the weekend before her final exams. Their first, six-month trip together would be the start of Jo's life-long fascination with the continent of Neil's birth: Africa. Today Jo works in the food industry and is the author of several cookbooks.
