Mary Shelley (1797–1851) was a novelist who is best known for writing the Gothic novel Frankenstein (1818). She is considered to be a key figure of the Romantic movement, significant for her literary achievement and for being one of the first writers on the rights of women. Dr Jenni Fagan is an award-winning poet, novelist and screenwriter. She is the author of the bestselling Hex, and A Swan's Neck on the Butcher's Block, her seventh collection of poetry.
