Join Count Camaris and his brave daughters on an exciting Pacific voyage in 1975, along with a daring deckhand and a merciless first mate. After a rite of passage crossing the Atlantic in 1974, as chronicled in Long Lost Log (Lilliput, 2022), Mick jumps ship in the Caribbean to crew on a family yacht. Under the command of Count Arno Camaris, a European aristocrat, his wife and three daughters are sailing home to Canada on the Hoop. Mick falls for one daughter and provokes the jealousy of another. During this exhilarating sea trip, these seven people live in close quarters, exploring the complex relationships between them, and must overcome all that the ocean can throw at them.

A masterclass in autofiction, Long Lost Love is a compelling tale of loyalty and betrayal. With excellent pacing and plot, this deep dive into human relationships is a love story and action-packed adventure rolled into a thrilling page-turner

Michael’s life is adventurous and creative, full of captivating stories. His two published books of narrative auto-fiction (Long Lost Log, Lilliput 2022; Long Lost Love, Lilliput 2024) reveal an extraordinary journey of breaking norms and pursuing excitement. Expelled at 17, he worked backstage in a London West End theatre. Fuelled by an unquenchable restlessness, he sailed across the Atlantic in 1975, laying the foundation for his later published work. Retired from a successful career in IT, he is now an accomplished author, sculptor, and singer/songwriter. He lives in England’s Pershore and his father was the late historian, journalist and novelist Henry Chapman Pincher, who became famous for his writing on espionage.
