Werewolves, Shapeshifters, Witches, Warlocks, Demons, Elves and more, all living in the Earth Realm coexisting with humans, that have no knowledge of the magic that exists in the world. Hidden in an ancient Temple in Egypt is a secret Council, established by the Ancient Gods of the world whose sole purpose is to protect the humans. When Summer Sky Mondragon, a She-Wolf and the daughter of the most powerful Alpha in the United States is kidnapped after spending a weekend with her friends in Colorado, Alpha Alexander goes crazy. He will go to any lengths to get his daughter back home safely. Little does he or anyone else realize that all these events are connected. Everything is about to change, will Summer Sky survive? Will the Council continue as it has for thousands of years? One thing is for sure, nothing will ever be the same.
THE RITUAL
At dawn, the four friends get their stuff and walk down to the spot that Yazmin has picked for their ritual. Clayton has already flown to Teec Nos to deliver Summer’s letter to Tazo and is back in time for the ritual. She hugs him, thanking him for helping her. Little did they know, they are being watched by the Red Wolf, who is getting angrier and angrier by the minute.
The Red Wolf had stayed outside of the cabin all night in wolf form. He wants to make sure he is there if they do anything out of the ordinary. When he hears the door open, he perks up. They are walking out to a small clearing in the forest. He is careful not to be seen. What are they doing, he wonders. Quietly, he stays and watches.
Yazmin makes a large casting circle with salt, putting a large quartz crystal in the center, a chalice with the potion in it and four blue candles. She then instructs them to step into the circle, reminding them that once they step in, they cannot leave the circle for any reason until the spell has been completed. Yazmin begins. She creates a protective barrier around them. Now, no one will be able to come close to them or enter the circle. “Please light your candles as I speak.” They light their candles, and she continues. “I call upon the Guardians of the East and the Element of Air; I call upon the Guardians of the West and the Element of Water; I call upon the Guardians of the South and the Element of Fire, and I call upon the Guardians of the North and the Element of Earth. I ask for assistance to create a sacred and protected space where we may cast our spell and make our journey.” Winds whip around everyone, the fire on the candles burn bright as she continues. She pricks her finger and drops her blood into the chalice. She then passes the chalice to Ezzy to do the same. Ezzy passes it to Summer; Summer passes it to Clayton. Once they all have deposited their blood in the chalice, they feel more power swarming all around them. Yazmin continues her spell, once again passing the chalice after drinking from it. When the last person drinks, they all recite the spell together. “I summon the Guardians of the Universe and the Gods that be; I beseech thee to show me what has been hidden from me, in another time and another place. Open the portal so that I may see the truth of who I be. I tether my soul to this time and place that I may return. Let me exit this body for moments to see the body and mind that was once me. So, it is said, so shall it be.” With the final word spoken, all four of them fall to the ground, slumped over as if dead. The spell has worked. They all feel like they have been hurled into nothingness, suddenly to hit a brick wall.
At the same time, Omari, Darius, Esraa and Cassandra feel dizzy and swayed. Basile turns to look at Omari. “Are you okay, my Luna?” Omari nods her head. “I am fine, Basile. It is those blasted alarms that have me off balance. Where were we?” Darius, having just composed himself also, answers her with his usual witticism. “We were just about to kill all these sushi eaters!” “No Darius, we were not about to kill them. Our lord insists we take them back to him for the weighing of their hearts and judgments. Let’s collect them all and get back to the Temple. I do not like these air raid alarms. Cassandra, do your magic please.” Omari requests. Before she can recite her spell, a woman runs up to Omari. Crying, she falls to the ground, hugging Omari’s leg, begging her in Japanese to have mercy on her son. Esraa grabs the woman by her hair, to pull her off of Omari. Alvinia, being the most kind-hearted of all the Council Members, runs over to protect the woman from Esraa. At that precise moment, Omari, Darius, Esraa and Cassandra feel dizzy again. They look at each other in confusion, then comes a loud deafening noise, then nothingness.
One by one, they start to awake within the circle. Disoriented, they try to acclimate themselves. Ezzy speaks first. “What the hell were we all doing, wanting to kill those wolves?” Yazmin shakes her head. “The woman, Omari, was you Summer, right? She spoke about a Council.” “Yes, I was her, she seemed so…so uninterested, yes, she was not going to allow Darius to kill them. That was you, Clayton, right?” She turns to look at Clayton, he nods. “Her actions were not out of compassion, it was more out of doing what their lord expected.” “If Summer was Omari and Clayton was Darius, Yazmin was obviously Cassandra and I was Esraa, then who were the others?” Ezzy asks. “I know that the Elven woman was named Alvinia. Omari was wondering how she has been able to keep her heart so pure and big, after thousands of years. Even after seeing the horrible things beings do to one another, both human and non-human. I felt that she envied her for it, for she no longer held compassion for them.” Summer informs them, feeling sad, remembering how Omari felt. “Did anyone get anything on the other two that were there?” Clayton inquires. Summer speaks up again. “Well, the one named Basile was worried about me, I mean Omari, evidently, she was his Luna. I suppose he was a warrior.” “I think the other woman there was also a warrior, and I think she was my mate. I felt very protective of her. I believe her name was Samera. Also, I don’t know if any of you felt it, but I was not a normal Wolf or even a Lycan. I was something else.” Ezzy says with a low voice. “Yes, yes,” Clayton chimes in. “I felt a tremendous amount of power, even more than the power I feel now as a Shifter.” “I agree, I felt it too.” Summer confirms. “Well, we should go inside and freshen up. Then, we can sit down and compare notes on everything we saw and experienced in those few minutes. I think we have something to work on now.” Yazmin suggests. They get up and follow her into the house.
The Red Wolf is amazed, the power emanating from the circle the Witch casted was incredible. He imagines what she could do for him when he has her under his control. Plus, he cannot help noticing again how very attractive she is. Yes, he will have them both. He really did not understand the ritual they undertook today, but it does not matter. Summer is going home with him tomorrow, that is for certain. Also, he will put a tracker on the Witch’s car tonight. When he is ready for her, he will send his men to get her, there is no hurry. His hands will be full, taming Summer and making her succumb to his will. He finds himself hoping she will not break too easily. Forcing his will and dominating women during sex is among one of his greatest, perverse pleasures. Everything he needs to take Summer tomorrow is done. The last thing he needs to do is fix a little something in her car tonight.
Back inside the house, they are busy comparing experiences. They all agreed that they were in Japan circa 1940’s. They also agree on the fact that they were there on behalf of some sort of Council. “Did anyone get any hint or idea of why they targeted that particular pack?” Summer asks. While they are talking and mulling things over, Yazmin is searching the internet. “Guys! You know what happened in Japan, August 1945?” They all simultaneously turn to look at her and realize. “The Hiroshima bombs!” They all say in unison. “We left their bodies just in time! They all died that day!” Yazmin shouts. They stare at each other as they realize that they were bound together by their obviously sudden, unexpected deaths. “What about the other three, why are they not here with us now, if we were all connected and found each other? Where is my mate, Samera?” Ezzy asks, frustrated. “I understand how frustrating this must be for you, Ezzy. You must have questions that we have no way of answering.” Yazmin acknowledges. “Clayton, you are pretty quiet, what are you thinking?” “I think we were all assholes for one thing, well, except the Elven women. I remember feeling a close bond and love for Omari but not in a romantic way, more like a sister. It was as if I could have killed all those wolves and not cared at all. Why was I so hard and uncaring? I’m not like that, well, not in this life. Furthermore, if I was so tainted in that lifetime, then why do I miss being that person, what or whom am I missing so dearly?” Summer speaks up quickly. “You probably had a mate that wasn’t there, that’s the only explanation. I also didn’t have a mate there and neither did Yazmin.”
Yazmin speaks up. “Well, Witches and Warlocks do not have mates in the same sense as Wolves and Lycans. Your mates are destined mates, chosen by the Goddess herself. If none of you were sure what Supernatural you were in that life, then we cannot be certain of anything.” Everyone is silent in thought. They all decide to do more research.
Clayton says he has a friend in Japan that is a Werewolf. He will call him to see if he has any information on any packs that were decimated in Hiroshima. Maybe, that will help us understand what we were doing there that day. He pulls out his phone to text his friend. Also, he texts Bob to see if he has any new information for him. Bob calls him back immediately. “Hey Clayton, this is Bob, I hadn’t called or text because I did not have any information worth giving you. Are you sure that was the right plate number?” “Yeah, pretty sure, why, nothing came back?” “Well, it shows that the license plate number is registered to a business, a bakery in California. It’s been closed for ten years. I will do some more investigating, I will call you if I find anything.” Bob explains. “Okay, hold on Bob. Summer, are you sure you got the right number on that license plate yesterday?” “Yes, I am.” Summer...
