There's an element of 47's former clients who are causing havoc in Southern Angola. They are raping, killing and torturing innocent women and children and using this fear to rule the southern parts of the war stricken country. These men
must be stopped or their inhumane acts will continue to terrorize the people in the southern regions.
The president orders the brother to return to their former hunting grounds and to infiltrate Lubongo the biggest city in the south and to find and execute these men.

Chapter 2 - Access

Jack gave everyone an hour to complete their duties and when they met to rendezvous, he instructed William to address the team. Their entry and exit routes were the most important part of this mission and needed to be addressed first.

William explained that their best way in and out would be via the ocean but this route posed a few problems. Seeing that all six of them would be required at the casino, they needed another set of hands to make the ocean access work.

Jack was confused and asked him to explain why they needed another person.

William explained that they would be able to travel up the coast on a small boat then gain access through Amelia Beach which was situated 15 km south of Namibe which was a biggish coastal town and famous surfer’s hub before the war. They would then use the main road connecting Namibe to Lubongo as a guide and stay roughly about 1 km south of that road as they walked towards the city which was just over 400km away.

After killing those bastards they will then make their way back to the coast by moving their exit route another 20 km further south and go through Humpata.

If everything goes well they should reach Humpata before anyone realized that their beloved warriors were executed. In order to get to Humpata before sunrise, they would have to walk like never before to get there but luckily they were super soldiers and able to do it.

Everyone laughed making fun of William and his silly comments.

In order to slay alive they had to reach Humpata by sunrise because after that the road would become too busy for them to move. The road that linked this small town to the city was known to be well patrolled by the local military and therefore would pose a serious threat.

After leaving Humpata they would continue to head south for another 10 km where they would rest for breakfast then swing west towards Reserve de Namibe.

This reserve was very close to the diamond fields and housed many crooks. It was also full of illegal miners who were using the reserve to hide away from police.

Those guys were usually heavily armed and prepared to die to protect their shiny stones. They posed a huge threat and if news reached them that the brother killed their beloved warriors and had a massive bounty on their heads, every one of them would actively start hunting the brothers in order to claim the reward.

They won’t be the only threat the brothers were going to face in the reserve. They had to also be on the lookout for the local police who were already inside the reserve hunting those illegal miners. They were also heavily armed and would kill without notice.

Pete reminded his brothers of those mercenaries Swart hired to kill them when they chased him and 47 into the DRC. Those guys were heavily armed and nasty. They killed easily and were prepared to die for the US dollar award he offered them. Those guys had no regard for other people and walked around as if they owned everyone and everything around them.

He also reminded them of that village in Zambia where those mercenaries killed all the men and raped that young girl. They would have killed everyone in that village if it wasn’t for the brothers who killed the mercenaries and saved the villagers.

Everyone remembered those bastards and nodded in acknowledgement.

Nick joked that they should take some US Dollars just in case they needed to buy their freedom. It was such a good idea that everyone was blown away and silent. You could literally hear a pin drop.

This was unexpected so Jack turned to General Long for advice and found the older man very surprised. He enjoyed Nick’s suggestion and decided to have some fun with him. He joked that Nick just came up with the best idea of the day and that Jack should give him the afternoon off. He welcomed Nick to their meeting and asked that he continued his valuable input.

He laughed as he extended his right fist towards Nick who happily accepted the fist pump. It was really funny to see General Long fooling around so everyone teased Nick and punched him in the ribs. When the ruckus quieted down William continued.

Their problem was the boat. By the time they got back to the coast the army would have deployed large numbers of soldiers who would be patrolling the reserve and the coastline from Namibe all the way past Amelia Beach.

Hopefully the enemy won’t deploy their military for more than 50 km from Namibe. This would allow them to extract from a small fishing village called Flamingo Lodge which was situated about 80 km south of Namibe. This village would be safe even if their enemy deployed for up to 70 to 75 km.

This mission required another person who could drop them off at Amelia Beach south of Namibe then take the boat to Flamingo Lodge and wait for them there. This person needed to be well trained and experienced because he was going to be alone for a few days while they were executing their mission. He had to be someone who was able to work alone but also in a group and had to be trained well enough so that he could defend himself against the enemy if required.

Jack understood the explanation and agreed that another person was required. He knew exactly who the right person would be so asked General Long to please contact his old friend General Fourie and ask him to release Recce Major John Smit. They needed Smit’s expertise and his experience of Angola was unmatched. He was the perfect man for this job and would assist them greatly to complete this mission successfully. He begged the general to pull the necessary strings in order to get Smit onto their team.

He explained to his team that they knew who Smit was because he worked with Jack on his earlier missions to the capital. He was also one of the guys who assisted them when they returned from Mutsahtsha and spend the day with them at the destroyed airport.

The guys nodded and acknowledged that they knew who he was.

General Long knew Major Smit well because the major worked with him on one of his previous missions. He also worked for his long-time friend General Fourie who relied on him very much. Smit was a very important man in the general’s team which would make it difficult for Fourie to release the experienced warrior.

After thinking it through for a minute he challenged Jack and wanted to know why the captain wanted to involve Smit with their mission. Smit was a busy man and because General Fourie depended on him as much as he did, wouldn’t easily release him. He might also be on another mission of his own which would make it even more difficult.

He offered to get them someone else but Jack was in no mood for nonsense.

It was a standoff between the skipper and the chief and neither was willing to give in. Jack informed the general that he was unfortunately not willing to accept anyone who had lesser training and experience because an inexperienced person could get them killed. The general also had to remember that they were ghosts and were restricted from identifying themselves to lesser trained individuals.

If they did this person might expose their true identities to the enemy.

He and Smit worked together and the major knew who they were. Now that Swart was 6-feet under, Smit was their country’s most experienced soldier with more combat experience than all six brothers put together. His experience might just be the difference between dying on enemy soil and returning home alive.

General Long was out of arguments and although he did not like to admit defeat to anyone else, Jack was different. He was the general’s favorite son and his argument made sense. There was enough truth behind the captain’s concerns to force him into action.

He excused himself to command center where he had a very important phone call to make. A few months had passed since he last spoke to his training brother and best friend and therefore rather looked forward to hearing his voice again. General Fourie was happy to hear his brother’s voice and after a few minutes of small talk, General Long revealed the real reason for his call. No specific details were given to why Smit was required but after close to an hour of code talking Fourie forfeited and allowed Smit to join General Long’s very important mission.

Fourie knew Jack well and understood that this was an important mission because the last time Smit and Jack worked together, a large number of bad people died. One of those people was the man he and General Long were life-long enemies with. Smit and Jack’s success ultimately led to their enemy meeting his ultimate fate. He released Smit and asked his great friend to thank the captain on his behalf for killing the man he hated for so many years.

General Long returned to his men and informed them on his successful phone call. He thanked the boys on behalf of General Fourie for killing 47 and Swart and happily informed them that Smit would be meeting them at rendezvous point.

Jack hugged the general to show his appreciation and thanked him for his assistance. General Long felt great and loved being their father.

Now that Smit was on their team Jack asked everyone’s involvement so that they could rework William’s information. They agreed that Smit had to take them to Amelia Beach where he would drop them off 100 m from shore. This would allow them to ride the waves into the sand and once there they had to make their way into the bushes as quickly and safely as possible.

Once on the beach two had to cover one, then three would cover two and as soon as there were two in the...
