The ATHLETICO MINCE podcast was conceived after Andy Dawson knocked on the door of Bob Mortimer one day and tried to sell him some edible maps. Although Bob had no interest in the Jambon-flavoured navigation guides, the pair began chatting about football and, as Andy records all of his conversations for legal reasons, before they knew it they had accidentally created a podcast.
People seemed to enjoy it so they kept going, and Athletico Mince has had over five million listens since it was launched in the spring of 2016. Andy quickly ditched his cold-call selling career and three hundred edible maps now reside in an unnamed quarry.
