Steven's visit to Nicaragua where he parties over Xmas with the expats in San Juan del Sur and celebrates the New Year with the locals on tiny Corn Island.
This travel journal is an account of Steven's visit to Nicaragua where he parties over Xmas with the expats in San Juan del Sur on the Pacific coast "a two-bit beach town where everyone knows your business and there's nothing to do but Drink or do Drugs" and where "the more you're Doped the more you forget THE SHIT'S ILLEGAL!" In the second part Steven finds himself celebrating the New Year with the locals on tiny Corn Island, in the Caibbean, where "everyone knows and's related to fucking everyone" and where "no matter how safe you think you are from a Bust there's always a chance, even on Corn fucking Island with six Cops!"

Steven Froelich was born and brought up in Elgin, outside of Chicago. In his teens he fled to Los Angeles and then New York. He has lived in London for the last ten years. Steven is an actor/playwright. His first play, They Offered Bob and Wilma Cash, had Sylvia Miles in the lead with Steven playing opposite as her son. His second play, Weekend In Rio, was work shopped at the Steppenwolf Studio in Chicago with Laurie Metcalfe in the lead followed by public performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where it received two Best Actress nominations. His third play, It Woulda Been Nice, was performed by Steven at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival at exactly the same time as Weekend In Rio. Nicaragua is Steven's second travel journal, his first was Moscow to Havana. Others, to follow, will recount his holiday adventures in the glitz and gutters of Belize, Colombia, Guatemala and Mexico. Steven is also co-author of a medical thriller There's A Bug Going Around (ISBN: 9780957296633 and ISBN: 9780957296626)
