PHILIPP REHM is a bassist and music producer. As a renowned musician with a wide range of creative bass sounds, he can be heard both as a solo artist and studio bassist, as well as a sought-after sideman who has played with well-known bands and artists like Jazz Against the Machine, renowned Caribbean classical singer Tania Kross, The Flames, or Pop and R&B singer Cassandra Steen. In 2004, Philipp was honored as Germany's Super Bassist by German bass magazine BassProfessor before making a name for himself internationally. He appeared on the cover of the US-based Bass Musician Magazine in 2021, and the French Bassiste Magazine hailed his album The Philbum as a ‘masterpiece in the league of the greats’, which had already been featured as ‘Album of the Month’ by the German drum magazine Sticks. Together with the outstanding drummer Ralf Gustke, Philipp has been running an exciting bass and drum duo for several years, which, with its innovative avant-garde approach, has already appeared at several top-notch festivals. For quite some time, Philipp has been advancing his Bass Matrix adventure, conducting workshops, and teaching at the Mannheim University of Music.
