A decision on producing an album about Beethoven was born from my wish to present the reader yearning for beautiful, the music lover or the collector with a keen interest in philately or maximaphily, with a different approach to Beethoven’s life and universe.
This approach is a first in everything that has been written about Beethoven - a visual approach offered by means of Maximaphily, seen through the eye of a maximum card collector and music lover.
I have covered the path from the composer’s birth until our time, a 245 year long way over, a path musically illustrated with composers who performed his work or were influenced by the style of his music, famous conductors who have conducted his works on stage and, not in the least, musicians, players and singers.
The reader is hereby presented with information based on carefully selected documents, the fruit of many a hundred hours of research and documentation, ichnographically accompanied by the illustration provided by maximaphily.
