A compelling story that takes you into the depths of family life in the Mid West in the fifties, moving and poetic, funny yet valuable it contains some of Cliff's memories from childhood. A true story of his early childhood life it narrates several key issues that complicate family life. Having been separated from his loving mother, Cliff must overcome complexities such as sibling relationships, stepfamilies and the difficulties in bonding, moving homes and the sad loss of his father. The story is written in retrospect as a child see's himself and his situation during these times, adding the flavor of an adult view as he looks back through the memories of his life as a child. However, as the story unfolds you will realize that things are not always as we perceive them to be. Looking through the lenses of a child's eyes from an adult perspective gives it a unique twist. A story where imagination and perceptions can play heavily on reality, leaving you the reader to pull back the curtain and peek in so you can decide and make up your own mind, where the truth sits.
