You play the cajon and bought the Heck Stick / Side Kick add-on? You want to learn how to play some really great grooves with them? Then Martin Röttger's book is exactly what you need, since it offers you logically laid out exercises, which will enable you to transfer crisp drum grooves to the cajon.
This book is divided in three parts. The first part teaches you beats and grooves which are played only on the cajon without any add-ons. The second part proceeds with exercises for the Heck Stick / Side Kick and leaves the cajon aside. The third part combines cajon and add-ons into a single unit. Look forward to an arsenal of great grooves from blues, hip-hop, rock and pop.

At the age of 12, he was already performing on stage with musicians from the New Orleans jazz scene. Now Martin Röttger is one of the hottest cajon players in Europe. He was amongst the first to establish the Peruvian percussion instrument as a fully fledged alternative to the drum kit and thus accompany numerous national and international greats at over 600 concerts: from Louisiana Red, Chuck Berry, Ian Anderson, Toni Sheridan and Tom Shaka to Vince Weber, Chris Jones, Steve Baker, Rainer Baumann, Abi Wallenstein and Gottfried Bottger. Numerous radio and TV appearances at home and aboard plus several CD productions round off his success as a musician.
