A romping, rhyming, onomatopoeic tale of Terri the Triceratops and the world of dinosaurs!

Terri the Triceratops's world is full of strange sounds, from crawling critters and shaking trees to scorching volcanoes and stormy seas. As she embarks on a journey through the Late Cretaceous Period, what will she discover? Who will she meet? What will she hear? And will she find her own voice in the face of danger along the way?

A delightful, immersive read-aloud experience, Stomp, Soar, Dino Roar explores the prehistoric world of dinosaurs through one Triceratops's eyes. This narrative nonfiction tale takes kids on a playful journey into the past through sight, sound, and storytelling in a way that both educates and entertains. Back matter on the Late Cretaceous Period, sonic science, and more included.

Max Amato is the author and illustrator of several picture books. His stories use uncommon characters to explore themes that defined his childhood: perfectionism, companionship, identity, creativity, competitiveness, and of course, dinosaurs. In addition to his work in children’s books, Max is an independent graphic designer and art director, working primarily in brand identity for clients in sports, music, technology, and fashion. Max grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland, and studied graphic design at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia before moving to Brooklyn, NY, where he lives in an apartment with lots of character but no washer/dryer. When he is not writing children’s books you can find him playing basketball, sketching furniture designs in the park, attending concerts, visiting art galleries, and people watching.
