Miguel is great at shooting. But he’s not so great when it comes to dribbling. He can’t take his eyes off the ball because he’s afraid he’ll lose it. Or worse, that he’ll trip up! With practice, can Miguel master his fear and the skill? Told through accessible text and easy-to-follow panelling, young basketball fans will cheer for this Slam Dunk Graphics tale.
Daniel Mauleón earned an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults at Hamline University in 2017. Since then, he has written fiction, nonfiction, and graphic novels for Capstone! He lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with his wife and two cats. Ceej has been practising illustration since 2010, and a drawing fanatic since he was old enough to hold a pencil. Taking inspiration from everyday people and their surroundings, he gets a real kick out of capturing the little details that make a piece of work stand out. After a good few years of adventure in London and beyond, he’s now settled back in his home county of Dorset, raising a family on a farm, surrounded by forests, fields and fresh air.
