Peter Patilla is an infant maths specialist, advisor and consultant with many years of primary school teaching experience. He is an established OUP author, having written the At home with... and Starting off with... series, as well as My First Oxford Book of Numbers. He lives in Crich, Derbyshire. David Melling is a talented and successful artist, who has been published by Hodder, Macmillan and Heinemann, amongst others. He illustrated Brilliant the Dinosaur by Richard Stilgoe (Pavilion), which was shortlisted for the 1994 Smarties prize. His previous OUP publications include My First Oxford Book of Words and My First Oxford French Words. He lives in Abingdon.
