Sharon was born in Penzance, Cornwall. She, her husband and two children have lived in Cyprus, Dubai, Sharjah, Wales and England. Her first children's book Tarantula Tide won the Kelpie Prize and the Heart of Hawick Award and was longlisted for the Branford Boase prize. She has since completed an MA in Writing for Young People at Bath Spa. The Shiver Stone is her second novel.
