The book details how today’s Edinburgh trams developed after years of delays and overspent budgets and how travel in the Edinburgh and Lothians continues to develop.
Here, Richard Walter has put together a fine selection of photographs showing how areas have changed beyond recognition and how the city has experienced everything from bus wars to a better level of integration of transport.

Edinburgh-born Richard Walter has been a contributor of bus-related photos and articles to a range of transport books and magazines over the last 40 years, as well as being involved with other publications and publicity for the industry. He is a freelance journalist for Coach and Bus Week.
