Apart from observing philosopher cats, Federica Sgarbi teaches Asian philosophy and Western philosophy at Dōshisha, Ristumeikan and Kanazawa universities, Kyoto. She has doctoral degrees in philosophy and psychology from the Sorbonne, Ferrara and Padua universities.
