My book shows how God and modern secular knowledge jointly illuminate a path towards a far better future. In our interdependent post-atomic era, 'working cooperatively for mutually advantageous gains has become an enlightened form of selfishness.' Once we begin to follow this divinely and scientifically supported path to a far more cooperative and compassionate future, humans will go through a metamorphosis from the somewhat predatory animals we are to becoming angels living in Paradise. The dec 2023 edition of 'Small Press Bookwatch' features the following review of this book 'Eloquent, erudite, Informative, insightful, thoughtful and thought-provoking, 'Becoming Angels in Paradise' is an inherently fascinating read.' Similarly, Kirkus says: 'While not all readers will be convinced by the author's religious interpretations, the book nevertheless poses compelling questions about the intersection of religious and scientific ideas, from computer simulations to multiverse theories. While critical of traditional Christianity-arguing, for instance, that Christians since the fourth century have stripped Jesus of his core socialist message-Freeman is generally inclusive of multiple religions, blending Abrahamic doctrines with Hinduism, Buddhism, and even Greek mythology. An idiosyncratic, frequently intriguing study of angels and humanity's future.'
Recently found scientific facts allowed Benjamin Freeman to use a scripturally supported variant of the scientific method to meld the major holy books with each other and with overlapping secular truth. Once the author shows that modern science proves that Judeo-Christians should see the Qur'an as the Bible's third testament , this book offers compelling support for somewhat unique interpretations of the Noah's Ark, Garden of Eden, Armageddon, and the crucifixion stories. While most people believe that being far more cooperative, compassionate and long term oriented goes against human nature, this book demonstrates that we only believe this because people have behaved in an atypically greedy, violent, and predatory way for the last few thousand years. By carefully considering the evidence of biology and anthropology, this book shows that most animals, including humans for 95% of our time on earth, cooperate far more with members of their own communities than we do. In fact, our descent into an excessively predatory and fear based interactive pattern was a situation specific response to living in farming based and hierarchically organized nation states. But now that we live in an inter-dependent post-atomic era, it is appropriate for us to adopt an interactive pattern which could be characterized as "e;working cooperatively for mutually advantageous gains is an enlightened form of selfishness."e; The book then shows that the complementary teachings of Jesus, Buddha, neurology, and psychology suggest a pathway to becoming so cooperative and compassionate that our attitude could be characterized as universal loving compassion. Based on the evidence alluded to so far in the first half of this book, the next few chapters present a specific action plan for replacing what Einstein and an increasingly large percent of humanity see as the "e;unparalleled catastrophe"e; we are heading towards with a sustainable near future. By continuing in the same more cooperative and compassionate direction, the last third of the book suggests how the much more fulfilling and appropriately modified world of 2060 could change further to resemble the "e;kingdom"e; which Jesus lived and died to promote -As we follow this path, we will evolve from the somewhat predatory animals that we are to becoming like angels living in paradise. The dec 2023 edition of "e;Small Press Bookwatch"e; features the following review of this book: "e;Eloquent, erudite, Informative, insightful, thoughtful and thought-provoking, "e;Becoming Angels in Paradise"e; is an inherently fascinating read."e; Similarly, Kirkus says:"e;While not all readers will be convinced by the author's religious interpretations, the book nevertheless poses compelling questions about the intersection of religious and scientific ideas, from computer simulations to multiverse theories. INTRODUCTION

As alluded to in a variety of sacred writings and mythology, there has been a class of supermen and superwomen who have watched over us and the larger biosphere for hundreds of millions of years. However, even the tallest, strongest, smartest and longest living angels (including Lucifer) have faltered when they put their egocentric desires ahead of serving the greater good.

Being the only human who dealt with angels regularly and visualized the nature of paradise, Jesus said his contemporaries could not yet “bear” the full truth. How did God make it impossible for premodern peoples to prematurely know how to become angels living in the “kingdom” Jesus lived and died to prepare us for?

Visualizing the path to becoming angels living in paradise requires that we use the clear teachings of one Holy Book to understand the ambiguities which exist in the other most revered Holy Books. Not only were premodern peoples led to believe that each holy book is separate and complete in itself, but anyone who disagreed with the most widely accepted interpretations of one holy book because of what another Holy Book said would have risked being killed or persecuted as a heretic. So even if some profound, very imaginative and courageous pre-modern thinker had melded the holy books in a meaningful way, their conclusions would have been written off as irrelevant. But even if this methodology had been used and the results were read by a few million people, there was no compelling reason for the vast majority of our ancestors to take these conclusions seriously.

As you will see in a few paragraphs, God purposely inspired Holy Books in a way where modern secular knowledge was needed to provide the compelling proof that it is necessary to meld the Holy Books with each other to get even a bare bones understanding of how post-modern peoples could become angels living in paradise. And if one wants to convert the bare bones form of divine guidance about paradise into a specific blueprint for how to change societal systems and our own behavior for us to become angels in paradise, modern secular knowledge is also required. As if these obstacles for pre-modern people to know how to co-create paradise and transform ourselves into angels didn’t make it impossible for premodern peoples to understand and appreciate the divine plan, one also needs modern technology, data handling power beyond that which existed before the twenty first century and various forms of post – modern medical knowledge to implement this blueprint. For all the aforementioned reasons, it was impossible for pre-modern peoples to fully understand, much less co – create, paradise prematurely.

Because of a powerful (divine?) dream I experienced in my late teens, I began investigating how we could avoid the nuclear war or environmentally based super – catastrophe which we are otherwise headed towards. After about fifteen years of focusing on how modern technology and related secular knowledge made it possible to replace the “unparalleled catastrophe” we are heading towards with the creation of a paradise based on far greater levels of cooperation and compassion, I was drawn to reading the New Testament. Once I realized why Jesus spoke in parables and that his crucifixion was the greatest parable of all, a powerful divine voice came into my head and told me to “read the Qu’ran, it is my book of clarifications and amplifications.” After finding how modern science confirms that the Qu’ran “completes the Bible,” my own pre-existing affinity for Buddhism caused me to wonder if the most revered holy books and overlapping secular evidence are all part of one divine library.

I eventually found a Biblically predicted and Qu’ranically explained variant of the scientific method to meld all these aforementioned aspects of truth. Just as scientists test if their first approximation theories are consistent with all available secular evidence, I tested my first approximation theories by seeing if they are consistent with all the relevant sacred and secular evidence. Using this methodology, I gradually found the divine blueprint for how post-modern peoples could begin a carefully calibrated process which would lead to our near future descendants becoming angels living in paradise.

How can I justify my proposition that each pre-modern holy book which still has millions of followers is part of one divine library which also includes post-modern secular discoveries? Consider the following:

Although many regular readers of the Qu’ran have the impression that their book is the only one worth reading, the Qu’ran itself disagrees. For instance, a passage sometimes called Al Shura 16 (the Qu’ran) states: “To this religion, then do thou invite mankind. Be thou steadfast in it as thou art commanded and follow not their evil inclinations, but say ‘I believe in whatever book Allah has sent down and I am commanded to judge justly before you. Allah is our Lord and your Lord. For us is the reward of our works and for you the reward of your works. There is no quarrel between us and you. Allah will gather us together and to him is the return.” In essence, this passage is telling us that all major Holy Books are grounded in divine teachings. Consider also the following Qu’ranic passage: “Which of your Lord’s blessings would you deny, the Lord of the Two Easts or the Lord of the Two Wests?there come out of both of them pearls and corals every day he reveals himself in a different state, which of your Lord’s blessings would you deny?” Making the reasonable assumption that the “Lord of the Two Easts “ are South Asian and Chinese views of God leads one to see Biblical and Qu’ranic views of God as the “Lord of the two Wests.” In this context, the truth and guidance (“pearls and coral”) which come out of both are “different” ways that God “reveals himself.” As for the key connection between the Qu’ran and the Bible from an Islamic point of view, the Qu’ran repeatedly and specifically says that it “completes’ the Bible. Not only can anyone who has read both books see that many Qu’ranic stories are essentially clarifications of Biblical stories, but the most important Biblical figures are specifically called prophets or messiah’s in the Qu’ran.

How did God prove to post-modern Judeo-Christian truth seekers that the angels dictated the Qu’ran to Mohammed without offering compelling verification of this Qu’ranic assertion to pre-modern readers?

God hid very specific and compelling sets of scientific proofs which confirms that beings who already understood modern astronomy, biology, physics, geology and cosmology wrote the Qu’ran. Since humanity didn’t understand any of these facts until long after Mohammed died, it is only now that Bible readers can confirm that Mohammed was correct in saying he only “recited” the words angels gave him in fulfillment of Deuteronomy 18:18, John 15/16 and Rev 10:8-11.

As atheistic scientists and Christian fundamentalists both correctly point out, there appear to be significant contradictions between scientific evidence and the most logical way to interpret Genesis 1-30. These contradictions seem to show that the writers of the Bible simply took wild guesses about how God helped an otherwise random process lead to our universe and to post-modern humanity. If that is true, it seems obvious that God wouldn’t have allowed such mistakes to be the first part of a book which exists partly to glorify him and his work.

But if you read Genesis 1:1-30 carefully, you will realize that no phrase explicitly contradicts scientific findings. For instance, all the Bible actually says about the creation of living organisms is that animals including humans “were made according to their own kinds.” This is in accord with the scientifically verified theory of speciation which holds that an animal can only create fertile offspring by mating with a member of its own species. Although the Genesis account alludes to a real biological process, referring only to speciation creates the misleading impression that animals were created in their present form and never changed. However, the Qu’ran amplifies the Biblical account by repeatedly stating that we were created “gradually.” As scientific evidence now demonstrates, it took billions of generations for genetic drift, mutations and natural selection to gradually create hominoid apes from the genetic material provided by microscopic water borne organisms. Among the many Qu’ranic verses which connect our origin and physiology to water, Al Nur 46 notes that “Allah has made every animal from water.” Not only did the first animals come from water, but all animal bodies, including ours, are primarily made of water. By repeatedly referring to evil humans as “apes despised,” the angels who wrote the Qu’ran are demonstrating their knowledge that humans are members of the ape family. Only if one combines the Biblical and Qu’ranic accounts does the creation allegory demonstrate enough knowledge of post-Darwinian scientific facts about evolution to indicate that it was not a wild guess.

For obvious reasons, it feeds the human ego which resulted from our separation from the divine oneness to believe that our planet is the center of the universe. Hence, the fact that Genesis creates the impression that earth is the center of the universe caused Judeo-Christian leaders to label Copernicus and Galileo heretics for suggesting otherwise. Nonetheless, Genesis never explicitly says that the Earth is stationary or that it is the center of the universe. Instead, it creates that impression by appearing to tell the story of creation from an Earth-bound...
