The new standards and changes exist in social science studies. Covid 19, especially in Indonesia, at the end of 2019, has an impact on changes in every sector of life. This change is a form of community adaptation. Therefore, this conference aims to explore theoretical and practical developments of the social sciences, to build academic networks while gathering academics from various research institutes and universities.
This book provides the new standard and encourages many thoughts in theoretical and empirical studies in the social field. The scope that can be generated in this standard includes patterns, opportunities, and challenges in social science, learning to new standards, learning innovation, and implementing new learning standards in Indonesia, which was adopted in the form of the Merdeka Belajar program. The study results will fill the gaps in knowledge in the new social life and social science. Therefore, this book aims to mediate the researchers in the same field to discuss and find solutions to current issues in the social field and build cooperation and synergy in creative ideas to work together to create joint research.
This book will be interesting to students, scholars, and practitioners who have a deep concern in social science. It is futuristic with a lot of practical insights for the students, faculty, and practitioners. Since the contributors are from across the globe, it is fascinating to see the global benchmarks.
Idris is a lecturer in the Social Studies Program, Faculty of Social Science, Universitas Negeri Malang. His research interests include, but are not limited to, human resource management, strategic management, tourism, and learning innovation. He has published his works in leading academic journals and also presented his academic work at a number of international academic conferences. Agus Purnomo is a lecturer in Social Studies Program, Faculty of Social Science, Universitas Negeri Malang. He has served for the past 5 years on the Teori dan Praksis Pembelajaran IPS Journal as an Editor-in-Chief. His research interests include, but are not limited to, education, tourism, and ecopedagogy. He has published his works in leading academic journals and also presented his academic work at a number of international academic conferences. Muhamad Alif Haji Sismat is a lecturer at the Faculty of Arabic Language, Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, specialising in Translation, Technology, Linguistics, Arabic, English, Second Language Acquisition, and Computer-Assisted Translation Tools. An Experienced Lecturer with skills in research, linguistics, and translation. Strong education professional with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) focused on Applied Translation Studies from the University of Leeds. He also contributed to several research funded projects by the government of Brunei Darussalam that have been published in international journals and proceedings. Zawawi Ismail is an Associate Professor and currently Deputy Dean and Quality Manager at the Faculty of Education, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He received his Bachelor Degree in Arabic Language & Literature (Major), Shariah (Minor) from Yarmouk University, Jordan, Post Graduate Diploma of Education from the International Islamic University Malaysia, Master in Arabic Education and obtained his Ph.D in the field of Education from National University of Malaysia 2008. His research interests include Arabic & Islamic Education Curriculum, Teacher Education, Muslim Minority Education, and Quranic Language Education. He has published articles in international and national journals, books and other publications. Dr. Zawawi has contributed a lot to the society and he is also active in several NGOs and one of the founders of Yayasan As-Syafie which is focusing in developing Islamic Boarding School in Cambodia and other educational activities in Indonesia and Malaysia. Luechai Sringernyuang is a Consultant, participatory approaches to community development and livelihoods, VBVB/VSF Canada 5-9 February 2013, Vientiane Laos PDR (2013). Consultant, the team of ADB-supported EY project as National Communications and Knowledge Management Specialist.
