For years, domestic violence has become a worldwide phenomenon. Every day, new cases are added to the list of victims. Despised by a large number of the population because of the patriarchal system that exists in Haiti, sometimes the victims suffer without having the courage to denounce the culprit. Between the fear of repression by the perpetrator and the wounds, the suffering of the victims increases. Thus, this research on the consequences of domestic violence on women's mental health has attempted to open the debate by exposing the different psychological suffering of victims. It focuses on a factor that is so neglected because the consequences are not so visible. The results of this research can help political actors, aggressors and the victims' entourage to have a better knowledge that can help them to take another look at the phenomenon and support the victims in their quest for a sense of well-being after a scene of violence.
