This book aims to reconceptualize teaching and learning in spaces with diverse populations of young people. Sandra R. Schecter is Professor of Education and Applied Linguistics at York University, Toronto, Canada. Carl E. James holds the Jean Augustine Chair in Education, Community and Diaspora in the Faculty of Education at York University, Toronto, Canada.
