Bas C. van Fraassen is the McCosh Professor of Philosophy at Princeton University. Past publications include 'The Empirical Stance' (2002), 'Topics in the Foundation of Statistics' (1997) and 'Quantum Mechanics: An Empiricist View' (1991).
