Journal of the Alchemical Society 1913-1915

together with the original `Constitution and Rules' of the society and lists of officers, and much new, supporting material:
For three years - 1913 to 1915 - The Alchemical Society provided a forum, unique in its day, for a wide spectrum of scientists, historians, occultists and mystics to meet and debate every aspect of alchemy. The papers and discussions delivered at their meetings were printed in the society's Journal - and it is this very rare journal that is now, for the first time, presented in its entirety.
This new edition includes the whole contents of the Journal (papers, discussions, reviews and reports of meetings), together with the original `Constitution and Rules' of the society and lists of officers, and much new, supporting material: brief biographies of the contributors, a bibliography of their relevant publications, an annotated list of recommended further reading, a list of advertisers in the journal, and a general index. New illustrations have also been added, including portraits, facsimiles and views of the society's two meeting places.
In addition, there is an historical introduction by Dr. R.A. Gilbert, the historian of Victorian and Edwardian esotericism, and a Foreword by Professor Mark Morrisson, author of Modern Alchemy: Occultism and the Emergence of Atomic Theory.
Now, with the The Journal of the Alchemical Society made available in compact form, enthusiasts for alchemy can enjoy its fascinating papers, and scholars can benefit from a new resource for their researches.
