The wind is strong on the Yorkshire moors. There is one house called Wuthering Heights that does not hide from the wind. Emily Bronte (1814-48) was born and lived in Yorkshire in the North of England, where the story of Wuthering Heights takes place. She and her sisters Charlotte and Anne are among the greatest English novelists of their time. "
