This book widens the insights with the advent of data-driven techniques using intelligent Cyber-Physical Systems to monitor and diagnose patients, provide personalized treatments, and enhance the overall quality of care. Intelligent Cyber-Physical Systems for healthcare solutions is an emerging area of research that aims to integrate advanced technologies, such as sensors, actuators, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of things, with healthcare systems to improve patient outcomes.

This book provides an overview of the state-of-the-art in this field, showcasing the latest advances in cyber-physical systems design and implementation—the challenges and opportunities in applying CPS to healthcare.

The book covers various aspects of intelligent cyber-physical systems in healthcare, including architecture, communication protocols, data processing, monitoring, diagnosis, rehabilitation, and assistive technologies. It also addresses important issues such as security, privacy, and ethics considerations and presents best practices for ensuring the safety and reliability of CPS in healthcare.

The book offers a valuable resource for researchers, practitioners, and students to transform healthcare and improve patient outcomes while highlighting the need for interdisciplinary collaboration and ethical considerations in its design and implementation.

Mamta Mittal is working as Associate Professor(Data Analytics and Data Science) at Delhi Skill and Entrepreneur University, New Delhi (under Government of NCT Delhi). She has received Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Thapar University, Patiala; MTech (Honors) in Computer Science & Engineering from YMCA, Faridabad. She has been teaching for the last 21 years with emphasis on Data Mining, Machine Learning, DBMS and Data Structure. Dr. Mittal is a Life time member of CSI and published more than 100 research papers in SCI, SCIE, Scopus indexed Journals. She holds five patents and two copyrights in the area of Artificial Intelligence, IoT and Deep Learning. Dr. Mittal has edited/authored many books with reputed publishers like Springer, IOS Press, Elsevier CRC Press etc. and working on DST approved Project “Development of IoT based hybrid navigation module for midsized autonomous vehicles” with research grant of 25 Lakhs. Currently, she is guiding PhD scholars in the field of Machine Learning and Deep Learning. She is editor of book Series Edge AI in future Computing with CRC Press, Taylor & Francis, USA. Dr. Mittal is member of Editorial Board with InderScience, Bentham Science, Springer and Elsevier and Associate Editor with SCIE Indexed journal of Springer.    Jyotindra Narayan is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the domain of healthcare robotics and artificial intelligence at Brain and Behaviour Lab, Imperial College London (United Kingdom) and University of Bayreuth (Germany). He completed his PhD in January 2023 from the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati), India. His research was dedicated to designing, developing, and controlling passive-assist and active-assist control schemes for the lower-limb exoskeleton systems for pediatric gait training and assistance. Dr. Narayan completed a Master of Engineering (ME) at Thapar University, India, in 2017, with a specialization in CAD/CAM and robotics, where he worked on the patient side of medical manipulators. Over the years, he has delved deep into classical and modern control theory, focusing on robust and adaptive control methodologies. This has culminated in the publication of over 60 articles in reputed peer-reviewed journals and conferences, including more than 25 Science Citation/Scopus Indexed (Q1 and Q2) journals. Dr. Narayan has significant experience handling submissions as an editor in reputed journals such as PLOS ONE and the International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems. He hosted and chaired special sessions on robust and adaptive control schemes for many reputed International conferences like CoDIT 2024 and IC ASET 2023, where he facilitated research discussions among leading experts in the field. He is a lead reviewer in the indexed journals of Springer, IEEE, Elsevier, MDPI, and international co
