He is the head of the ‘Nanomaterials and Health’ team at the Institut Jean-Lamour (Nancy, France) where he is initiating a new research field devoted to the study of the interaction (toxicity and biocompatibility) of macrophages and new implant alloys. In addition to his research, Professor Rihn has also worked as clinical laboratory investigator in bacteriology and virology and is Medical officer-in-Chief at French Defense Central Health Service (Service de Santé des Armées) involved in medical and sanitary support of the French army.
