Madhumita Roy is a professor & former Head in the Department of Architecture, Jadavpur University. She was the founder Director of the School of Planning and Architecture, Amity University, Kolkata. Her research interests include: 1) the use of GIS techniques and IT interface in developing online sanction systems connected with Architecture, planning related areas as a part of ease of doing business; 2) developing building rules and regulations for new and existing cities incorporating energy efficient aspects; 3) determining energy demands of various urban forms; 4) evaluating the impact of urbanization on biodiversity; and 5) design and development of sustainable architecture. Jayashree Deshpande is an architect, sociologist and educator based in Pune, India. Presently, she is the Director, Academic Unit of Council of Architecture, New Delhi, located at Pune. She is involved in conducting Training Programmes and Continuing Education Programmes for architects and teachers in Architecture, publication of books, Awards programmes for thesis at Under Graduate and Post Graduate levels, Heritage Documentation and Research in Architecture. Nandini Kulkarni, a distinguished academician and researcher, serves as the Director at Symbiosis School of Planning, Architecture, and Design. With a Doctorate focused on “Investigating the Impact of Quality of Life on Peri-urban Areas of Metro Cities,” Her research expertise bridges the fields of urban planning, architecture, and the socio-economic development of peri-urban regions.
