»A fascinating study. Readers will be surprised how religious sheikhs can easily switch their positions towards peace with Israel by citing different verses of Quranic and religious texts.«
Dr. Elham Manea, Institute for Political Science, University of Zurich
»Ofir Winter's study provides an extensively documented and profoundly analyzed answer to the frequently asked question, how did the leaderships of Arab states that made peace with Israel legitimize a relationship that had for decades been beyond the limits of acceptability.«
Prof. Shimon Shamir, former Israeli ambassador to Egypt and Jordan
»Winter's book is a must for every student, official, or layman who is interested in understanding current Islamic political discourse. The book comprises a significant contribution to the body of research literature in the field of war and peace in contemporary Islam.«
Yitzhak Reiter, President of the Middle East and Islamic Studies Association of Israel (MEISAI)
