Yvonne Tsai is a professor in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at National Taiwan University. She received a master's degree in translation and interpreting from the University of Bath, UK, and a PhD in translation studies from Newcastle University, UK. She teaches specialised translation, legal translation, translation technology, and translation project management courses. Her major research interests include translation technology, translation pedagogy, and legal translation. Dr Tsai has many years of professional experience translating patent documents for Taiwan's Intellectual Property Office and has collaborated with the University Secretariat Office on several translation projects, including the translation of university regulations.
