Jean Michaud is Professor of Social Anthropology at Université Laval, Canada, and has also taught in the United Kingdom. Margaret Byrne Swain is a cultural anthropologist, retired from Women and Gender Studies, University of California, Davis. Meenaxi Barkataki-Ruscheweyh is a social anthropologist, is currently a Research fellow at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
