A success manual for people in any field of endeavour, De Mente, identifies the character traits in the samurai code of ethics, which made Japan's transformation from a warrior dominated agrarian society to the world's second largest economy possible.
Japan's transformation from a warrior-dominated agrarian society to a modern industrial nation between 1870 and 1890, and its recovery from the destruction of World War II to become the second largest economy in the world, were achieved as a result of cultural traits the Japanese inherited from their samurai ancestors. Here the author identifies the character traits in the samurai code of ethics that made these incredible transformations possible and explains how these traits can be applied to anyone to enhance their own personal skills and performance.
