This self-help guide is the first of its kind. It does not treat the movements of the back in isolation, but connects them with the brain, which governs movement. This tried and tested approach engages the brain and re-trains it - while you are sitting - so that you can move your back initially in a pain-free way, and ultimately teaching your brain to "not" anticipate pain when you move more like you used to. It does this through "mindful" movements.
A key element of the approach is visualising the movements you make, thinking about them initially and reaching a point when they become second nature. Sitting in every situation will become smarter and therefore improve your back in all situations.
