Within its 67 miles it takes in historic ruined abbeys at Melrose, Dryburgh, Kelso and Jedburgh, the towns of Hawick and Selkirk, and Abbotsford House. There is easy walking beside the Rivers Tweed and Teviot, and the hilly sections offer fine views.
