W. Roy Mason is Professor Emeritus of Chemistry in the Michael Faraday Laboratories of Northern Illinois University. His research focuses on electronic structure and spectra of heavy metal complexes; electronic and magnetic circular dichroism spectroscopy; and symmetry and MO theory.
