Shriram S. Sonawane is a professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology in Nagpur, India. Dr. Sonawane's research areas include polymer nanocomposites, nanofluids, nano-separation technology, and process modelling and simulation. Based on his expertise, he has edited two books: "Novel Approaches to Wastewater Treatment and Resource Recovery" and "Applications of Nanofluids in Chemical and Bio-medical Process Industry". He is currently editing “Nanofluid Applications for Advanced Thermal Solutions". He has received a fellow award from the prestigious Maharashtra Academy of Science and has filed 6 and published 3 Indian patents on his record. He has published more than 190 research papers in various Nationals and Internationals Journals of repute, receiving more than 4948 citations for his work on Google Scholar. He has also presented more than 100 research papers in various Nationals and Internationals conferences and organized various international conferences. He has developed various high-performance nanofluids for application in pool boiling, heat exchange, solar panels, wastewater treatment, petroleum science and technology, membrane technology and car radiator applications. With his team from the Department of Chemical Engineering, he has succeeded in working out a method to improve the production of bio-hydrogen from complex distillery wastewater. Dr. Sonawane has also developed novel packing material for extraction operation. He is also a reviewer for journals such as the Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, Institution of Engineers, Chemical Engineering and Technology, and Ultrasonic Sonochemistry. Manjakuppam Malika is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, B V Raju Institute of Technology, Narsapur, Telangana, India and is currently working in the field of nanofluid applications in chemical engineering and technology.
