Mars seems to be the planet of our solar system with biggest fascination to human beings . Until the sixties, it was supposed to find life on the planet's surface. Starting point of those speculations were among other things, the mars channels, discovered by the Italian astronomer Schiaparelli. Shortly, they were recognized to be artifacts by better telescopes. Even nowadays the red planet, that impersonate the god of war for the old Greeks, appears in headlines. A few years ago it was believed that traces of living forms were found in a meteor, descending from Mars. The landing of the spacecraft "Pathfinder" provided new, breathtaking pictures to the world.
Some of these pictures we integrated as a poster about the red planet, together with other fotos, of the Hubble telescope e. g. Some important Spacecrafts were drawn by us, the explaining texts discuss the geography, the weather, the moons etc. of Mars.
