The main aim of this book was to evaluate clinical efficiency of newly introduced Connecticut Intrusion Arch (CIA) composed of Nickel Titanium and Connecticut New Arch (CNA) composed of Beta III Titanium. Tracings recorded from pre and post-intrusion lateral cephalograms of 25 patients treated with (CIA) and another 25 patients treated by (CNA) in increased overbite cases were obtained from Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, GITAM Dental College & Hospital, Visakhapatnam were analyzed following standard procedure and findings were tabulated. Paired t-test was used to compare between pre and post intrusion changes within the CIA and CNA group. Unpaired t-test was used to compare treatment changes between CIA and CNA group. A 'P' value of 0.05 was set for statistical significance.Findings of this study demonstrate that both the CIA and CNA intrusion arch were effective in bite opening. Both groups showed a similar tendency for reduction in inclination of lower incisors. There was no change in angular measurement of lower molar in any group. Lower incisor edge moved back in relation to Protuberance Menti in both the groups.
